ABOUT
Rana Askoul is a writer and social change advocate. Rana writes in both Arabic and English for several national and international publications on topics relating to Arab women identity, rights and social change advocacy in the region. After a long career in senior leadership positions with Dubai Government, McKinsey and Co. and General Electric, Rana founded the Changing Pink initiative in 2012. She partners with public, private and non-government entities to promote gender equality in the region, create and implement women empowerment initiatives and build leadership capacities of MENA women and girls. Her latest project involved leading the inception and design phase for the Leadership Program for Arab Women Scientists in MENA, launched by the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Islamic Development Bank.
Rana is a seasoned trainer and facilitator, an accredited executive coach and public speaker. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration (UK) and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Canada). She lives with her husband and two children in Dubai, UAE.
